Balance of the True Faith
The world was born with the power of light as its guide, this was true for more then 3000 years until...
... A great evil known as the Black Wyrm appeared, slowly its poison of the mind and body spread and festered among the goblinoid races and moved through the races of man and beast alike.
The minions of darkness grow strong and with the gifts of arcane magic and unholy relics they lay waste to village and nation alike.
The battle in what is now known as the Dune Sea raged for more then 100years. The arcane magics, which were once given as a gift to both sides, soon destroyed the fabric of true enlightenment and understanding
Sounds of a heavenly horn blew as the celestial army crashed down from the heavens...
... The forces of darkness were weakened and scattered to the ends of the world.
Controllers of the heavenly faith left the world and returned to the heavens above. Great rest would now commence to heal the wounds of battles fought. The power of the heavens would be given to those found worthy to carry the burden of the mortal world.
The Dune Sea
When the 100year war ended, all that remained of the Great Plains were the hot blistering sands of the Dune Sea. Many great relics were lost or perhaps even destroyed during the final days of the apocalyptic battle.
Some legends tell of a society of mysterious magi who live deep within the Dune Sea. Few have ever seen this, even fewer have returned to tell the tale of the mysterious society beneath the great sands.
Scattered throughout the landscape are the temples of both the faithful good and great diabolical evil. Amazing troves of treasure and knowledge remain hidden in these temples, buried deep beneath the burning sands of the Dune Sea.
Sorcerer War
Arcane power has been said to corrupt, even the strongest of magi have been taken to the dark side of the arcane arts.
When the clash began between the light and dark armies fire engulfed the sky, lightning and acid fell as the blood of the innocent was spilt upon the Great Planes.
When the battle appeared to be going to the side of good, twisted priests of the Black Wyrm brought fourth a great champion. A kind of champion the world has never seen. The black magi came upon the army of light like a swarm of locusts -- quickly destroying and corrupting all who stood in her way.
All was lost until the one known as the ÂDreadnought appeared in front of the black tower, donned in golden armor and wielding a holy weapon of magnificent glory. As the two champions met face to face on the blood soaked soil, a silence fell upon the world and they clashed killing almost all within view of the battle.
Buildings tumbled and souls were released upon the world of mortal men. The final battle was over both sides had been greatly weakened, two great champions had perished -- this war truly had no victor.
The Ivory Tower
Deep within the burning forest lays a sight more beautiful then the worldÂs largest gem. The Ivory Tower is said to be home of Bahamut's High Avatar, those who seek great enlightenment shall cross the forest and all its obstacles.
Legend tells that the Ivory Tower was forged from the blood of the holy celestial angels. It fell from the sky when a lone child wandered through the burning forest to the blessed shrine deep within.
The young child asked the celestial angel to take his life so he would feel no more pain from the loss of his family. The child had begun his pilgrimage three years prior to his arrival at the shrine. The celestial angels were so impressed with the child's faith in the lords above, that they bled themselves to create him a new home -- A place to raise his own family.
As the child grew older he looked upon his life and saw everything he had ever dreamed of; yet he still felt unfulfilled. Upon his deathbed he swore the tower to the great platinum dragon -- Bahamut.
